In collaboration with area hospices, our Aides and Nurses, or Hospice Family Caregivers, provide respite to the family. O'Connell Care At Home provides our staff with specialized end of life care training, in order to support families in their efforts to have their loved one die at home. We are not a substitute for hospice, but rather a supplement to it when the demands of care are great. We coordinate the care we provide with the client, the family, caregiver, physician, and hospice, based on the unique needs of each situation. Our Hospice Family Caregivers will help the dying person and his or her family to spend their remaining time together with dignity, in comfort and at home.
